Virus/malware prevention and removal

Malware is the term used to describe all sorts of computer contaminants. These range from software designed to steal personal information, disrupt computer operation and gain access to private networks. We at MacPhee I.T. can check for, and remove all forms of malware and set up antivirus software to best protect you from attack.

 

Computer tune-up

Over the course of time, it is common for computer systems to become slow and non responsive. This can be due to a multitude of reasons, ranging from, viruses and malware to temporary internet files and unnecessary start-up items. Due to the changing nature of computer systems and software, it is inevitable that our computer systems become dated. Whether you are new to computing, in-between current systems or perhaps require another system in the home for children or family use, we provide low cost desktop rental.  All our systems run windows 7, come in single or dual core set up and are perfect for everyday office and web browsing. Email account set up and tutoring

It can be daunting to first explore the world of emails. If you have never had an email account or would like to set up a new email account for any purpose, we can help. We will set up this email service for you, from the comfort of your own home or here in the office, and give you a detailed set of instructions, that you are comfortable with, so that you do not have to rely solely on memory.

 

Software tutoring

If you are new to computers, or perhaps require a refresher, we can teach you all the basics of computer ownership. From navigating the Windows environment to creating word processed documents, spread sheets, flyers or posters in Microsoft Office, we can help. We try very hard not to bombard the user with unnecessary computer jargon, which is often confusing and off-putting to new users. We will move at a pace that you are comfortable with, and we will only be satisfied when you are completely satisfied.
